Students at Roanoke Rapids High School in North Carolina went all in for their homecoming last week, complete with a pep rally, float parade, dance, and even a king and queen named.

But when it came time for the king and queen to take their places on the stage at the school's homecoming dance on Friday, one man stood out, per the Roanoke Rapids Times.

That man was a student at Roanoke Rapids Early College High School, which is part of the Roanoke Rapids school district.

Khamauri Wood was named Homecoming King, while Ahyanna Neville was named Homecoming Queen, per a release from the school.

"On a personal note, Homecoming is one of my favorite traditions here at Roanoke Rapids Graded School District," says the district's superintendent.
