Chief Chijioke James Ume was born in Atan Abam in Arochukwu Local Government Area, in present-day Abia State.
Under his Unubiko Foundation, he has offered scholarships to countless students in addition to another joint scholarship for girl child education where he co-sponsors bright female students with full scholarships.
Recently, he donated N500 million to Aba State Polytechnic, Aba during their convocation.

Sustainable Principles for an Innovating Nigeria
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) released the Nigerian Sustainable Banking Principles, an agreement signed by 34 banks, including the original eight of the nation’s leading banks, that covered nine key areas: environmental and social risk management, environmental and social footprint, human rights, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, environmental and social governance, capacity building, collaborative partnerships and reporting.
