Chase County College Access has provided scholarship funding to Chase County High School students for the past eight years.
The scholarship fund pays up to 100 percent of tuition, essentially leveling the playing field for those who might have more difficulty covering academic costs.
The process requires applicants to draft a resume and compose an essay that is read but not evaluated on merit.
In 2023, the Board of Regents recommended the legislature support an $11 million Diploma Plus Program that ensures every Kansas student graduates with nine post-secondary credits.
