Tom Fogarty Prize offers $100K for medtech innovation.

The prize will be administered by nonprofit educational medtech incubator and accelerator Fogarty Innovation.

The Fogerty Prize is one of the ways Mussallem and his wife, Linda, are supporting med tech innovation in four areas through their family foundation.

"The process of translating an idea into a commercially available medical device or therapy is hard," CEO Andrew Cleeland said.
