In 1991, a bipartisan group of state legislators signed off on a bill allowing for the creation of charter schools in Minnesota.
The vision for charters was to build creative, collaborative, teacher-run schools that would attract the best and the brightest.
But reports by The Minnesota Star Tribune suggest ample evidence of corruption and churn in the Minnesota charter school industry.
In 2024, the statea€”s supreme court restricted the Minnesota Internship Center.
