Parents in Howard County, Maryland, will soon be able to take advantage of a new program that's designed to help kids from low-income families get off to a good start in school, the Washington Post reports.
Called the Judy Center, it's a joint effort between the county's Department of Children and Families and the State Department of Education, and it will offer a wide range of services, including parenting classes and adult education.
"We aim to build awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning among our parents and caregivers, enlist them as partners, and teach them ways to help their child be'school ready,'" the center's director says in a press release. Read the Entire Article
